Passport scan instructions
We need to collect passport copies from everyone traveling. This is important for several reasons. First, the airlines are extremely particular when it comes to submitting the correct names and the name submitted must match exactly what is on your passport. Second, the passport will be the players proof of age (player pass) for the tournament. Third, in the event that someone loses their passport a quality copy will be invaluable if it needs to be replaced at an embassy on short notice.
What we need is a color-scanned image of both sides, top and bottom (see example below), of the picture page of the passport for each person traveling.
Please follow these guidelines:
- Check that the passport has not expired.
- Each passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond the return date to the US.
- Make sure the passport is signed.
- Use a color scanner only. Please do not use a scan app on your phone.
- Make sure the passport is completely flat on the glass of the scanner.
- Make sure the both sides (top and bottom) are scanned in one image (see example below).
7. Take a look at the scanned image to be sure no area of the passport has been omitted. In particular, the long line of digits/letters at the bottom must be completely visible.
8. Please email the image(s) in JPEG or PDF format to info@YPTusa.com.
